This policy describes how the Moroccan Association for Innovation in Artificial Intelligence (AMI IA), an association governed by Royal Dahir No. 1-58-376 of 15 November 1958 and headquartered at the Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Services of Rabat-Salé-Kénitra in Rabat, processes personal data collected through its website and online forms.
Data controller
The data controller is the AMI IA association itself. Requests relating to personal data may be sent to the contact address indicated on the “Contact” page.
Data we collect
Depending on the services you use, we may collect:
- Identity and contact data (full name, email address, phone number, city) submitted through the membership or contact forms;
- Professional and academic data (position, institution, area of expertise) voluntarily declared when joining;
- Technical preferences (chosen language, display theme) stored locally on your device;
- The content of the messages you send us.
Purposes of processing
Your data is processed exclusively to:
- Manage memberships and members, in accordance with the Statutes (in particular Articles 8 to 12 and Article 48 on digital means);
- Organize scientific events and carry out association communication;
- Answer requests for information, partnership or volunteering;
- Improve the functioning and security of the website.
CNDP compliance — Law 09-08
Our processing operations comply with Law No. 09-08 on the protection of individuals with regard to the processing of personal data and its implementing texts. The required formalities with the National Commission for the Control of Personal Data Protection (CNDP) are completed, including prior declaration or authorization where required.
Recipients and possible transfers
Data is intended for the authorized bodies of the association (in particular the Executive Board and committee coordinators). Our online forms are hosted by Google Forms; consequently, some processing may take place on servers located outside Morocco. Such transfers are carried out in compliance with the formalities provided for by Law No. 09-08, under the association’s responsibility.
Retention periods
Membership data is kept for the duration of the membership and archived for a maximum period of three (3) years thereafter, unless a legal obligation provides otherwise. Contact messages are kept for the time necessary to process the request.
Your rights
In accordance with Law No. 09-08, you have a right of access, rectification and opposition, for legitimate reasons, to the processing of your personal data. To exercise these rights, write to us via the “Contact” page, providing proof of your identity. You may also refer the matter to the CNDP (www.cndp.ma).
Changes to this policy
This policy may be amended to reflect changes to the website or to the regulations. The applicable version is the one published on this page at the date of your visit.
